From tech to business to creative skills, we're on a mission to democratize opportunity and empower millions across Africa to build meaningful careers.Our goal is simple: educate millions of Africans by 2030 — and we're just getting started.About the RoleWe're looking for a Marketing Director to lead AltSchool Africa's marketing strategy, brand growth, and user acquisition efforts across all our products — including AltSchoolGO, Nano Degrees, and Diploma Programs.This role is for a builder and strategist who understands Africa's digital landscape deeply — someone who can translate data into storytelling, brand love into growth, and community into revenue.You'll oversee a dynamic team of marketers, content creators, and growth managers, and you'll work closely with Product, Partnerships, and Leadership to drive measurable impact.Key Responsibilities1. Strategy & LeadershipDevelop and execute a unified marketing strategy across all AltSchool Africa products and geographies.Lead brand positioning and narrative to strengthen AltSchool Africa's voice as Africa's leading edtech brand.Build and lead a high-performing marketing team with expertise in growth, content, digital, and brand management.2. Growth & AcquisitionDesign and execute multi-channel user acquisition campaigns to grow our learner base to 1 million+ app downloads and beyond.Drive conversion and retention across key funnels — from awareness to paid enrollment.Leverage data analytics, experimentation, and lifecycle marketing to improve CAC, LTV, and overall ROI.3. Brand, Communications & StorytellingCraft compelling stories around learners, alumni, and brand milestones that inspire trust and action.Manage PR, brand campaigns, and community engagement to build AltSchool Africa into a loved brand.Collaborate with content, social, and product teams to ensure cohesive brand expression across every touchpoint.4. Partnerships & Ecosystem EngagementBuild strategic partnerships with media, influencers, institutions, and creators to expand reach and credibility.Identify opportunities for co-marketing and ecosystem engagement across Africa and the diaspora.5.
