Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role for a Senior Associate Counsel, based in Abuja. The Senior Associate Counsel will be responsible for handling complex corporate, commercial, and dispute resolution cases. Day-to-day tasks include drafting and reviewing legal documents, providing strategic advice to clients, conducting legal research, and representing clients in court proceedings. The role also involves contributing to business development, mentoring junior associates, and ensuring compliance with all legal and ethical standards.

Qualifications

  • Expertise in Corporate Law, Commercial Law, and Dispute Resolution
  • Experience in Legal Research, Legal Writing, and Contract Drafting
  • Strong Litigation and Negotiation skills
  • Proficiency in Professional Ethics and Client Management
  • Strategic Thinking, Problem-Solving, and Analytical skills
  • Excellent Communication, Interpersonal, and Leadership abilities
  • Familiarity with regulatory and procedural laws in Nigeria
  • Bachelor's Degree in Law (LLB) and membership of the Nigerian Bar Association
  • A minimum of four years' post-call legal experience in a reputable firm
