Job Summary:

The Deputy Company Secretary / Admin & HR Manager will provide strategic and operational support across corporate governance, administration, and human resources functions. This role ensures compliance with statutory regulations, oversees HR processes, manages administrative operations, and supports the Board and executive management in achieving organizational objectives.

Key Responsibilities:

Corporate Governance & Company Secretarial:

  • Assist the Company Secretary in ensuring compliance with statutory and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare and maintain company records, statutory registers, and board resolutions.
  • Organize and coordinate board meetings, Annual General Meetings (AGMs), and other governance activities.
  • Draft minutes, board packs, and corporate communications.
  • Advise management on corporate governance best practices.

Human Resources Management:

  • Oversee end-to-end HR processes including recruitment, onboarding, training, performance management, and employee engagement.
  • Manage payroll, benefits administration, and compliance with labor laws.
  • Develop HR policies and procedures in alignment with company objectives.
  • Support talent management, succession planning, and organizational development initiatives.

Administrative Management:

  • Manage day-to-day office operations, facilities, and support services.
  • Ensure efficient procurement of office supplies and management of vendors.
  • Oversee health, safety, and security compliance within the workplace.
  • Support event planning and corporate initiatives, including workshops and team-building activities.

Requirements / Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Law, Business Administration, Human Resource Management, or related field.
  • Professional certification in Corporate Governance (e.g., ICAN, ICSA) or HR (e.g., CIPM) is an advantage.
  • Minimum of 5-7 years of progressive experience in company secretarial, HR, or administration roles.
  • Strong knowledge of Nigerian corporate laws, labor regulations, and governance frameworks.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.
  • Ability to handle confidential information with discretion.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HRIS tools.
