Job Description

Our client is seeking a skilled and proactive Facilities Manager to oversee the management, maintenance and smooth operation of their office premises in Ikoyi and the CEO's private residence in Oniru. The Facilities Manager will be responsible for ensuring the effective operation, maintenance and management of all company properties. This role requires a hands-on professional who can manage multiple sites, supervise maintenance staff and vendors and ensure all facilities are safe, efficient and compliant. The ideal candidate must be flexible and available beyond standard working hours, as maintenance tasks and emergencies may occur after hours or during weekends.

Key Responsibilities


• Oversee day-to-day operations and maintenance of the company's Ikoyi office and the CEO's residence in Oniru.


• Develop and implement a Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) schedule covering electrical, plumbing, HVAC, lighting and security systems.


• Conduct regular inspections to ensure facility functionality, safety and cleanliness.


• Respond promptly to facility emergencies and ensure timely, cost-effective resolutions.


• Coordinate after-hours or weekend maintenance when required to minimize disruption to office operations.


• Liaise with service vendors including cleaning, security, landscaping, pest control and equipment maintenance providers.


• Monitor vendor performance, review service reports and oversee contract renewals.


• Supervise junior facilities officers, janitorial and security staff, ensuring compliance with operational standards.


• Maintain accurate asset registers, service records, warranties and maintenance logs.


• Track consumables and manage inventory to prevent shortages or downtime.


• Support the Head of Operations with budgeting, cost forecasting and expense control for facility management.


• Ensure compliance with all HSE (Health, Safety and Environmental) regulations and company safety policies.


• Conduct risk assessments and enforce corrective and preventive actions.


• Promote best practices in safety, sustainability and facility upkeep.

Qualifications


• Bachelor's degree or HND in Facilities Management, Engineering, Estate Management or a related field.


• Minimum of 5 years of experience in facilities or property management, preferably across both corporate and residential properties.


• Strong technical knowledge of building systems, maintenance operations and HSE compliance.


• Excellent vendor management, negotiation and coordination skills.


• Experience supervising teams and managing multiple sites.


• Good understanding of maintenance budgeting, cost control and reporting.


• Exceptional communication, organization and leadership abilities.


• Flexible and available to respond to facility needs outside standard working hours.


• Discreet, reliable and trustworthy especially when managing private residential facilities.
