Role: Junior Finance Associate

Full time, Hybrid

Location: Lekki

Experience: At least 2years

Salary: #170,000.00 net per month

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Ensure implementation of accounting standards and policies to ensure financial compliance and efficiency at all times.

  2. Posting of vendors' bills, admin expenses, and other payments on bank payment platform and QuickBooks.

  3. Partake in the entire accounting workflow from invoicing to reporting, with activities not limited to; accounts payable and receivable, reconcile statements, and maintain accurate records of all financial transactions.

  4. Cash Management Activities including cash and banking management.

  5. Maintenance of the company asset register.

  6. Thoroughly scrutinize source documents relating to bills and purchases, ensuring every expenditure has a backup document and with easily located paper trail.

  7. Audit financial transactions from time to time and be audit ready in-turn.

  8. Ensuring that the accounting software used by the company is accurate at all times and free from errors or mumbled up charts of accounts.

EXPERIENCE & QUALIFICATIONS

  1. A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree/Diploma in Accounting or Finance

  2. Very experienced in bookkeeping

  3. Minimum 2 years of experience in an accounting role, preferably in the design, architecture, manufacturing or construction industries.

  4. Hands-on experience with accounting software like QuickBooks, Zoho, Sage

  5. Advanced MS Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables

SKILLS & ATTRIBUTES

  1. Strong communication and interpersonal skills

  2. Excellent attention to detail to review large amounts of data and numbers

  3. Exceptional mathematical skills to verify entries

  4. Practical proficiency in accounting software (e.g QuickBooks, Sage, Zoho) and spreadsheets
