About the Role

Our client is revolutionizing Nigeria's beverage space with a beverage product that prevents and relieves hangover — the first locally made, no-caffeine, no-added-sugar, no preservative, and liver-supporting recovery drink that's taking bars, nightclubs, lounges, and supermarkets by storm. The brand needs a hustling, numbers-driven Sales Manager to own distributor & key-account relationships.

We are looking for a dynamic, driven, and street-smart Sales Manager to lead the field sales. You won't just be selling a drink — you'll be selling a lifestyle upgrade for Nigeria's party-goers and health-conscious consumers.

This is NOT a desk job. You'll be on the ground — building relationships with distributors, training sales teams, unlocking new retail outlets, and turning the brand into a household name.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead end-to-end sales strategy for the brand across Nigeria
  • Identify, onboard, and manage wholesale distributors
  • Build and train field sales teams (representatives, merchandisers, activation teams, retailers, etc.)
  • Drive sales targets: Average 30m cans (1.250m cases)/month within the first 6 months
  • Work closely with marketing to execute promotional campaigns
  • Monitor competitor activity and market trends in the FMCG beverage space
  • Track KPIs via CRM (e.g., conversion rates, sales volume) and optimize routes/logistics.
  • Report weekly sales performance and provide actionable insights
  • Ensure brand compliance, POS presence, and stock availability in all outlets

What we're Looking For

  • 5+ years of proven sales experience in FMCG, especially beverages (soft drinks, energy drinks, functional beverages)
  • Proven track record of opening new distribution channels and managing regional sales teams (manager or territory lead)
  • Deep understanding of Nigerian retail landscape — bars, supermarkets, pharmacies, lounges
  • Experience working with contract sales staff and field activations
  • Strong communication skills — you can speak Pidgin, Yoruba, Igbo, or Hausa (bonus)
  • Resourceful, resilient, and obsessed with results — you don't wait for permission to win
