With a mission to make decentralized finance (DeFi) more accessible and secure, Xtron empowers users through a scalable and user-friendly mobile app for managing digital assets.We are looking for a Backend Developer skilled in Vanilla PHP and MySQL to build and maintain our server-side logic and REST-like API endpoints. You will ensure high performance and security of our backend systems.ResponsibilitiesDevelop and maintain backend services using Vanilla PHP.Build REST-like API endpoints for frontend integration.Manage database operations using MySQL and mysqli_connect.Configure and optimize Nginx for PHP applications.Implement secure authentication and data handling practices.Integrate PHPMailer for email functionalities.Required SkillsStrong proficiency in PHP (Vanilla, not frameworks like Laravel).Experience with MySQL and writing optimized queries.Familiarity with Nginx configuration for PHP.Understanding of RESTful API design.Knowledge of version control systems (Git).Nice-to-Have SkillsExperience with AWS RDS and cloud deployments.Knowledge of security best practices (SQL injection prevention, XSS, CSRF).Familiarity with basic frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JS).Understanding of email systems and PHPMailer.Strong problem-solving and analytical skillsAbility to work independently and collaboratively in a remote environmentExcellent communication skillsHigh attention to detail and commitment to code qualityWillingness to strictly follow company technical SOPs and workflowsAvailability to work 12:00 PM – 7:30 PM Nigerian Time consistentlyPreferred SkillsExperience with database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, or similar)Understanding of scalability, performance optimization, and system architectureFamiliarity with Agile or Scrum development methodologiesIf the above aligns with your skills and experience, you may be the right person we are looking for.
