About the role

Our client is in search of a Quality Assurance Manager (QAM) responsible for developing, implementing, and maintaining quality control systems to ensure that raw materials and finished products meet established standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement quality standards: Create and enforce quality assurance policies, procedures, and Quality Management Systems (QMS).
  • Conduct audits and inspection: Plan and execute audits of raw materials and finished products to ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards.
  • Analyze performance data: Monitor and interpret quality performance metrics to identify trends, non-conformities, and areas for process improvement.
  • Resolve quality issues: Investigate customer complaints and quality-related problems, implement corrective actions, and ensure effective resolution.
  • Equipment maintenance: Ensure regular calibration and maintenance of laboratory test machines and equipment in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Key Requirements:

  • B.Eng in Chemical or Production Engineering or B.Sc in Industrial Chemistry, Polymer Science, or related fields
  • Strong knowledge of quality control, Quality Management Systems (e.g., ISO 9001), and process improvement frameworks (e.g., Six Sigma).
  • Ability to formulate laboratory test procedures and handle technical testing equipment.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data, identify root causes, and implement data-driven improvements.
  • A Master's degree is an added advantage.
  • 3–5 years of experience in a similar role within a plastic manufacturing (injection moulding) environment.
