FINANCE AND ADMIN OFFICER –
JOB DESCRIPTION
KEY FUNCTIONS
Oversees finance operations budgeting and financial reporting using QuickBooks software
while also managing administrative functions like office operations and compliance.
This role also involves managing administrative staff, coordinating office activities, and
ensuring all financial and administrative tasks support the organization's objectives.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Financial Management:
- Oversee accounting activities, including general ledger, payroll, and accounts
payable/receivable.
Analyze financial data, prepare financial statements by Quickbooks.
Ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial records and perform account reconciliations.
Manage cash flow and maintain accurate bank records.
Ensure compliance with all relevant financial regulations and donor requirements.
Administrative Management:
Coordinate and manage all adminstrative activities and resource.
Provide administrative support to MD and DMD.
Strategic and Operational Support:
Identify and resolve financial and administrative issues.
Ensure cost-effectiveness and optimal allocation of resources.
Serve as a point of contact for internal and external audits.
Support HR functions like employee benefits administration as needed.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Strong understanding of financial principles, accounting, and budgeting.
Experience with financial management software Quickbooks and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
Ability to manage multiple tasks, work under pressure, and show initiative.
Proven ability to manage and lead a team.
Strong ethical conduct and attention to details
Bachelor's degree in a relevant field like Commerce, Accounting, or Business Administration
is often required.
- A professional accounting qualification (e.g., ACCA) is a plus and advantage.
