Role Summary

We are looking for a skilled Account Executive to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring adherence to accounting standards, and delivering financial insights to aid in decision-making. The ideal candidate will be detail-oriented, organized, and proactive, with the ability to handle multiple tasks and meet deadlines effectively.

Key Responsibilities:

Accounting and Record-Keeping:

  • Record daily financial transactions in the accounting system.
  • Maintain general ledger entries, ensure proper coding, and track transactions accurately.
  • Prepare bank reconciliations, and accounts receivable/payable entries, and ensure that all financial documentation is up to date.
  • Monitor and record petty cash transactions, ensuring proper documentation and accuracy.

Financial Reporting:

  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reports, including profit and loss statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
  • Assist in preparing year-end closing and assist with annual audit preparation.
  • Review financial statements and budgets, providing reports with analysis to management for decision-making purposes.
  • Monitor financial data and suggest corrective actions when discrepancies are found.

Invoicing and Payments:

  • Monitor accounts receivable and follow up on overdue payments.
  • Process incoming payments and reconcile them with bank accounts.
  • Manage accounts payable, ensuring that vendors and suppliers are paid in a timely manner.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Assist in the development of annual budgets, helping various departments project their financial needs.
  • Track actual spending versus budgeted expenses and analyze variances.
  • Support with forecasting cash flow and financial projections to help plan for the future.

Tax and Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant tax laws and accounting regulations.
  • Prepare and file tax returns, VAT returns, and other financial reports
  • Maintain knowledge of accounting standards and government policies to ensure the company remains compliant with all relevant financial regulations.

Audit and Internal Controls:

  • Assist with the preparation of documents for internal and external audits.
  • Ensure proper documentation of financial transactions to support auditing processes.
  • Implement and maintain internal controls to ensure the accuracy and reliability of financial information.

Qualifications:

· Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

· Professional certification (e.g., CPA, ACCA) is highly desirable.

· Minimum of 3- 5 years of progressive experience in finance and accounting.

· Strong knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations.

· Proficiency in financial software applications and Microsoft Office Suite.

· Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills.
