Job Summary

Our client in the biometrics, security, and artificial intelligence (AI) industry is seeking an account and admin officer to manage its financial health, budgeting and compliance function. Beyond that, you'll also be the steady hand that keeps administrative functions running smoothly, from managing vendors to ensuring the office operates efficiently

Essential Responsibilities

  • Financial Reporting: Prepare accurate and timely monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.
  • General Ledger Maintenance: Post and maintain entries for all assets, liabilities, revenue, and capital accounts through diligent analysis of supporting documentation.
  • Compliance: Ensure proper documentation and posting of all transactions within ZohoBooks in strict alignment with internal policies and regulatory standards.
  • Reconciliations: Execute timely and accurate reconciliation of payables, receivables, and all bank and general ledger accounts, actively monitoring financial standards.
  • Cash Management: Manage petty cash funds, oversee the invoicing process, and ensure systematic backup of all financial records.
  • Audit & Planning Support: Provide necessary audit schedules, offer technical accounting advice, and contribute to business planning through financial forecasting.
  • Process Improvement: Review existing accounting systems and procedures and recommend modifications to enhance efficiency and internal controls.
  • Procurement & Inventory: Manage office consumables inventory and coordinate the servicing, repair, or replacement of office equipment as necessary.
  • Vendor Management: Coordinate and negotiate contracts with vendors and artisans to maximize value and minimize cost to the organization.
  • Facilities Management: Maintain a secure, organized, and effective workplace environment, ensuring all daily operations commence punctually.
  • Supervision: Monitor the performance of office assistants and maintain a reliable,up-to-date vendor database to facilitate seamless operational support.

Requirements

  • Bsc. degree in Accounting, Finance, or a closely related discipline.
  • 2–3 years experience in an accounting or administration role, preferably in an audit firm
  • Proficiency in accounting software(ZohoBooks, and MS Excel).
  • Understanding of financial reporting and general accounting principles (e.g., IFRS/GAAP).
  • Demonstrated administrative, time management, and interpersonal skills; detail-oriented and resourceful.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: ₦250,000.00 per month
