Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Facilities Manager based in Lagos State, Nigeria. The Facilities Manager will oversee the day-to-day maintenance and operations of the company's facilities. Responsibilities will include managing building operations, ensuring the safety and security of the facility, coordinating with vendors and service providers, and overseeing any repairs or renovations. The Facilities Manager will also be responsible for ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, managing the facilities budget, and implementing efficiency improvements.

Job Duties/ Responsibilities/ Accountabilities

  • Plan and implement strategies to ensure efficient management of assets and overall facility performance.
  • Manage, maintain, and support the reliability of systems, equipment, properties, and assets in the facility.
  • Oversee all contracts and contractors' functions, providing support for the facility's budget and financial planning.
  • Maintain and operate the facility by effectively managing resources including budget, staff, contractors, consultants, and finances.
  • Perform both short-term and long-term planning for property management and development.
  • Supervise the development and monitoring of the facility maintenance program.
  • Direct all activities relating to contracted facility services, including but not limited to technical reviews, materials, equipment, and product requisitions.
  • Assist and guide contractors in completing tenders and manage assigned projects efficiently.
  • Conduct detailed analyses and feasibility studies of alternatives to ensure projects are completed within scope, time, and budget.
  • Research and identify potential areas for facility development in line with established objectives.

  • The ideal candidate must demonstrate sufficient initiative and strategic insight to transform the Facility Management Unit from a cost centre into a revenue-generating division through efficient resource utilization, performance optimization, and service innovation.

Educational Qualifications

BSc. or HND in Engineering, Architecture or any other related discipline.
