Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Port Harcourt for a Medical Laboratory Technician. The responsibilities include performing laboratory tests, managing laboratory equipment, ensuring quality control measures are in place, and assisting in the analysis of laboratory results. The technician will also maintain accurate records, prepare specimens for testing, and ensure compliance with all medical safety and hygiene standards.

Qualifications

  • Proficiency in Medical Technology and Laboratory Medicine
  • Strong Laboratory Skills, including handling and processing specimens
  • Expertise in operating and maintaining Laboratory Equipment
  • Knowledge and application of Quality Control processes in laboratory settings
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent organizational skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-focused healthcare environment
  • Diploma or certification in Medical Laboratory Science or a related field
  • Valid license or certification as a Medical Laboratory Technician
  • Previous experience in a hospital or healthcare setting is advantageous
