. The annual event is held in Abuja, Nigeria. We are also the owners of Housing TV Africa, HDAN, etc.

Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site role located in Abuja for a Senior Human Resources Manager. The Senior Human Resources Manager will be responsible for overseeing all HR functions, including recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and compliance with labor laws. The role involves developing and implementing HR policies, managing employee benefits, and ensuring a positive work environment. Additionally, the Senior HR Manager will be tasked with talent development, training programs, and fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute HR strategies that support the organization's goals and vision.
  • Partner with executive leadership to drive organizational development and workforce planning.
  • Provide data-driven insights and recommendations to improve HR operations and employee engagement.
  • Oversee end-to-end recruitment processes to attract, hire, and retain top talent.
  • Implement succession planning and career development programs.
  • Ensure effective onboarding, orientation, and integration of new employees.
  • Serve as a trusted advisor on employee relations, conflict resolution, and disciplinary matters.
  • Promote a positive and inclusive workplace culture through employee engagement initiatives.
  • Handle grievance procedures with fairness and confidentiality.
  • Design and manage performance appraisal systems that drive accountability and excellence.
  • Support managers in setting clear performance goals and providing constructive feedback.
  • Identify and address performance gaps through coaching and training.
  • Identify training needs and oversee implementation of learning programs.
  • Develop leadership and professional development initiatives to strengthen organizational capability.
  • Oversee the design and administration of compensation, benefits, and rewards programs.
  • Ensure pay structures are competitive and compliant with legal standards.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, health and safety regulations, and organizational policies.
  • Maintain accurate employee records and ensure data confidentiality.
  • Lead HR audits and policy reviews to ensure alignment with evolving business and legal requirements.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master's degree or HR certification such as CIPM, SHRM, or CIPD preferred).
  • 7–10+ years of progressive HR experience, with at least 3 years in a senior or managerial role.
  • Strong understanding of labor laws, HR best practices, and organizational development principles.
  • Excellent leadership, interpersonal, and communication skills.
  • Proven ability to influence senior management and drive change initiatives.
  • Proficiency in HRIS and Microsoft Office Suite.
