Job Summary

The Kitchen Assistant will support the kitchen team with food preparation, portioning, packaging, and maintaining hygiene standards. The ideal candidate must be hardworking, clean, and able to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist in meal preparation—washing, chopping, and prepping ingredients.
• Support cooking of basic dishes under supervision.
• Portion and package meals accurately for delivery.
• Maintain cleanliness of the kitchen, utensils, and work areas.
• Assist with receiving and storing ingredients and supplies.
• Adhere to food hygiene and safety standards at all times.
• Assist the cook/chef with daily kitchen tasks as needed.

Requirements

• Previous experience as a kitchen assistant or similar role.
• Basic cooking and meal-prep skills.
• Good understanding of food hygiene and safety.
• Ability to work quickly and efficiently during peak periods.
• Physically fit and able to stand for long hours.
• Trustworthy, punctual, and committed.
