ASSISTANT MANAGER, INTERNAL CONTROL / AUDIT COMPLIANCE

About the Role:

Polysmart Packaging Ltd is seeking a proactive and experienced Assistant Manager, Internal Control / Audit Compliance to strengthen our internal governance and risk management framework. The ideal candidate will support the design, implementation, and monitoring of control systems that ensure compliance with internal policies, financial standards, and regulatory requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Lead and supervise internal control reviews and compliance audits across departments.
  2. Assess the adequacy and effectiveness of internal control systems and recommend improvements.
  3. Ensure compliance with corporate policies, procedures, and statutory regulations.
  4. Identify control gaps, assess operational risks, and develop action plans for mitigation.
  5. Review financial and operational activities for accuracy, efficiency, and compliance.
  6. Prepare comprehensive audit reports and present key findings to senior management.
  7. Monitor and follow up on the implementation of corrective actions.
  8. Provide advisory support to departments on internal control and compliance matters.
  9. Liaise with external auditors and regulatory bodies as required.

Requirements:

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.

Professional qualification such as ACA, ACCA, ICAN, is highly desirable.

Minimum of 5–7 years of relevant experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or assistant manager capacity.

Strong knowledge of audit procedures, internal controls, and risk management frameworks.

Excellent analytical, investigative, and reporting skills.

High level of integrity, confidentiality, and attention to detail.

Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (especially Excel) and familiarity with ERP systems.
