Job Summary

The Storekeeper is responsible for managing the receipt, storage, and issuance of clothing and skincare products. This role ensures that all stock is properly organized, accurately recorded, and available to support smooth store operations and excellent customer service.

Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

Inventory Management:

  • Receive deliveries of clothing and skincare products from suppliers.
  • Inspect goods for quality, quantity, and accuracy against invoices or purchase orders.
  • Label, tag, and organise merchandise in the stockroom according to category and size.
  • Track stock levels and report low or excess inventory to the Store Manager.
  • Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile physical stock with system records.

Stock Replenishment & Issuance:

  • Refill display shelves and racks on the sales floor as needed.
  • Ensure skincare products are handled and stored according to product safety and expiry guidelines.
  • Coordinate with sales staff to identify fast-moving or low-stock items.
  • Prepare items for branch transfers or returns when necessary.

Documentation & Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date inventory records manually or in store software.
  • Record all stock movements (receipts, issues, returns, and adjustments).
  • Generate daily or weekly inventory reports for management review.

Organisation & Safety:

  • Keep the stockroom clean, well-labelled, and easy to navigate.
  • Store skincare products in appropriate conditions to maintain quality.
  • Follow all safety and security guidelines to prevent loss, theft, or product damage.
