We are seeking a diligent and trustworthy Field Deposit Officers to join our Microfinance Sales team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for mobilizing daily thrift savings and deposits from customers within assigned markets, maintaining accurate transaction records, and ensuring timely remittance of collected funds. The role also involves building strong customer relationships, promoting the bank's products, and ensuring full compliance with operational and regulatory standards.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Mobilize daily thrift collections and deposits from customers in assigned markets and locations.
  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships to encourage loyalty, retention, and cross-selling of other bank products such as savings, loans, and insurance.
  • Issue receipts and sign control ledgers or customer cards promptly for every transaction to ensure transparency and accountability.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all transactions in accordance with the bank's policies and operational guidelines.
  • Remit all collected funds to the supervisor or branch before the daily cutoff time.
  • Educate customers on available bank products and services to enhance product awareness and increase patronage.
  • Report customer feedback, complaints, and suggestions promptly to relevant authorities for resolution.
  • Gather and communicate market intelligence and competitor activities to support business development.
  • Adhere strictly to internal control measures, Know Your Customer (KYC), and Anti-Money Laundering/Combating the Financing of Terrorism (AML/CFT) policies.

Qualifications and Requirements

  • Minimum of OND in any discipline.
  • Previous experience in thrift collection, microfinance, or field marketing is an added advantage.
  • Good knowledge of the local market and customer base.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and numeracy skills.
  • High level of integrity, accountability, and attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and meet daily targets.
