Job Summary

Department: Kitchen Operations

Reports To: Kitchen Supervisor / Head Chef

Employment Type: Full-Time Work Days: Mondays to Saturdays (subject to operational requirements) Compensation: Based on experience, with accommodation and daily meal provided.

Role Overview

The Kitchen Assistant / Server is a role designed to ensure smooth kitchen operations and excellent service delivery. You will work closely with the Head Chef, Supervisor, and Procurement Team to prepare food, maintain cleanliness, assist in food packaging and delivery, and provide customer-facing service during events or deliveries.

This role is both hands-on and flexible — you will be trained to switch between kitchen assistant duties (supporting the cooking team) and server duties (serving, plating, packaging, and handling delivery orders).

Skills & Requirements

● Minimum of HND Certificate

● Experience in a kitchen, catering, or hospitality setting preferred but not required (training provided).

● Ability to read simple instructions and follow procedures.

● Good personal hygiene and respect for kitchen cleanliness standards.

● Good team player and listener.

● Reliable, punctual, and physically fit to work long hours in a busy kitchen.

● Willingness to learn and adapt to new systems and SOPs.

● Basic maths skills for portioning and sales.

● Must be respectful, disciplined, and take instruction well.

● Ability to use OvaLoop or Orda – inventory tracking

● Ability to use Google Drive / Sheets – documentation and reporting

● Ability to use WhatsApp – communication and daily reporting

● Kitchen Checklists – daily routines and sign-offs

● POS Systems (for sales) – where applicable

Pay: ₦70,000.00 per month
