This hands-on role requires expert knowledge of high-end finishes and the ability to coordinate specialized trades to deliver impeccable results. You will ensure all aspects of finishing tiling, woodwork, stone cladding, drywall, ceilings, and flooring are executed with precision, on schedule, and within budget.Key ResponsibilitiesSupervision & CoordinationLead and manage on-site finishing teams: tilers, carpenters, stone masons, drywall installers, and painters.Coordinate daily tasks and work schedules to ensure seamless execution.Work closely with the Project Manager, designers, and other site leaders to integrate finishing works within the overall project scope.Conduct daily toolbox talks and ensure compliance with health, safety, and quality standards.Quality Control & AssuranceServe as the primary quality gatekeeper for all finishing works on site.Inspect each stage of work and ensure it meets the project's strict aesthetic and technical standards.Approve incoming materials to confirm compliance with specifications and quality benchmarks.Enforce a zero-defect policy, initiating corrective action immediately where needed.Technical Oversight & Problem SolvingProvide technical guidance to address complex finishing details and material transitions.Interpret architectural drawings, technical details, and finish schedules with high accuracy.Identify and resolve site challenges early to avoid delays or rework.Core Finishing AreasTiling: Oversee wall and floor tiling, ensuring perfect alignment, leveling, and grout quality.Wood Finishes: Supervise real wood flooring, panels, ceilings, and joinery with high precision.Natural Stone: Manage mechanical fixing of travertine and other stone materials.Drywall & Plaster: Ensure flawless installation and finishing of plasterboard (e.g., Level 5 finish).Carpet Flooring: Oversee high-quality carpet installations with seamless joins and correct underlay placement.Qualifications & Experience7–10 years of experience in high-end interior finishing, with at least 5 years in a supervisory role.Proven track record with premium residential or commercial construction projects.Deep expertise in tiling, carpentry, stonework, drywall systems, and finishing standards.Strong ability to read and interpret technical drawings and finish schedules.Proficient in basic IT tools for site reporting and communication.Relevant certifications in construction supervision or safety (e.g., OSHA 30) are advantageous.Personal AttributesDetail-Oriented: Obsessed with quality and craftsmanship.Strong Leadership: Can lead multi-trade teams with authority and respect.Proactive & Problem-Solver: Quickly identifies issues and implements solutions.Excellent Communicator: Clear, direct, and professional in all communications.Calm Under Pressure: Maintains high standards even under tight deadlines.What We OfferCompetitive salary and benefits.Opportunity to work on a landmark project in Lagos Island.A collaborative and performance-driven work environment.Long-term career growth within a respected, quality-focused company.
