Our client, a growing organisation within the agricultural value chain, is seeking a diligent and analytical Monitoring & Evaluation Officer Assistant to support the design, implementation, and reporting of M&E activities across projects and operations. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, data-driven, and committed to strengthening evidence-based decision-making within development and agricultural programs.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the development and execution of M&E frameworks, including indicators, data collection tools, reporting templates, and performance tracking systems for ongoing projects.
  • Assist in collecting, cleaning, verifying, and analysing quantitative and qualitative data from field teams, community partners, and operational units.
  • Participate in routine monitoring visits, ensuring data accuracy, compliance with methodologies, and timely submission of field reports.
  • Contribute to baseline studies, midline assessments, endline evaluations, and special research assignments across agricultural and community-impact projects.
  • Maintain organised M&E databases and dashboards, ensuring data integrity and accessibility for program teams.
  • Support preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual M&E reports for internal use, donors, partners, and regulatory agencies.
  • Assist in developing training materials and capacity-building sessions for field officers and operations staff on data collection, reporting, and M&E best practices.
  • Work closely with the program, gender, operations, and finance units to ensure alignment of project activities with M&E findings and organisational goals.
  • Provide administrative and logistical support for assessments, stakeholder engagement meetings, and learning workshops.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Statistics, Economics, Development Studies, Agriculture, Social Sciences, or related fields.
  • 0–2 years of experience in M&E, data collection, research, field coordination, or development programming.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with data tools such as KoboCollect, Power BI, SPSS, Google Forms, or ODK is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of M&E principles, logical frameworks, indicators, and reporting processes.
  • Good analytical, documentation, and organisational skills.
  • Ability to travel for field monitoring activities when required.
  • High attention to detail, accuracy, confidentiality, and professionalism.
  • Ability to work effectively both remotely and onsite, depending on project needs.
