Role Description

This is a full-time on-site role for a Cook at The Grid Restaurant and Winery, located in Lagos. The Cook will be responsible for preparing a variety of dishes, including both continental and African cuisine, following established recipes and maintaining quality standards. Daily tasks include meal preparation, ensuring proper food safety and hygiene, managing kitchen inventory, and collaborating with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operations. The role requires attention to detail, creativity, and the ability to work in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

  • Culinary skills, including expertise in African and continental cuisine, food preparation, and presentation
  • Knowledge of food safety procedures, cleanliness, and kitchen equipment maintenance
  • Ability to manage time effectively, work under pressure, and meet deadlines
  • Teamwork and communication skills to collaborate efficiently with kitchen staff
  • A passion for cooking and hospitality with attention to detail
