Responsibilities

As a Commercial Teacher, you will be required to:

• Organize classroom lectures and coursework effectively
• Teach core commercial subjects such as Business Studies, Economics, Accounting, and related fields
• Introduce students to business concepts, trade principles, and economic theories
• Explain basic and advanced accounting methods and practices
• Engage students in practical examples and real-life business scenarios
• Teach students critical thinking and decision-making skills in commerce
• Evaluate student performance through tests, projects, and assignments
• Foster interactive and lively classroom sessions to maintain student interest
• Develop and implement creative teaching strategies
• Collaborate with fellow teaching staff and administrators to ensure a seamless learning experience
• Identify and support students with special learning needs through personalized learning plans
• Provide timely and meaningful feedback on academic progress and classroom behaviour

Requirements

• Previous experience as a Commercial or Business Studies teacher
• Relevant teaching certification (TRCN or equivalent) may be required
• Strong knowledge of the Nigerian and British curricula for Junior and Senior Secondary levels
• Proficiency in one or more commercial subjects (e.g. Business Studies, Accounting, Commerce, Economics)
• Excellent classroom management and communication skills
• Strong planning, organization, and multitasking abilities
• Dedication to student development and academic excellence
• Proficient computer skills and use of digital teaching tools
• Minimum qualification: B.Ed./B.Sc. in Commerce, Business Education, Accounting, or related field
• Excellent interpersonal and leadership skills
