Position Summary

Our client is seeking a visionary and strategic Chief Executive Officer (CEO) to lead the organisation into its next phase of growth and impact. The CEO will be responsible for setting the overall direction, driving innovation, strengthening operational performance, and building strategic partnerships. This role requires an experienced leader with a track record in healthcare innovation or technology-enabled services and the capability to navigate complex, multi-stakeholder environments.

The position is based in Victoria Island, Lagos, and reports directly to the Board of Directors.

Key Responsibilities

* Define and execute the organisation's long-term strategic vision and business growth roadmap

* Scale health-tech products and services, improving access to digital healthcare solutions

* Lead the senior management team, fostering a culture of high performance and accountability

* Drive fundraising efforts, investor engagement, and capital mobilisation

* Manage financial planning, business modelling, and operational excellence

* Establish and nurture strategic partnerships across healthcare, technology, government, and donor sectors

* Ensure compliance with health regulations, data privacy, and corporate governance standards

* Represent the organisation in public forums and industry platforms

* Monitor market trends and customer needs to inform product development and strategy

* Develop and implement scalable systems to support sustainable growth

* Report to and collaborate closely with the Board to align strategy and execution

Candidate Profile

Professional Background

The ideal candidate must be a strategic and visionary leader, comfortable operating in complex environments, leading cross-functional teams, and engaging with diverse stakeholders across healthcare and technology sectors.

Qualifications

* Report to and collaborate closely

* BSc in Medicine, Public Health, Health Technology, or a related field

* MSc in Health-Tech, Computer Science, Public Health, or a related discipline

* Additional certifications in Digital Health Training, Biomedical Engineering, Health Start-up Management, or other relevant areas are considered an added advantage

Experience

* Minimum of 10 years in senior leadership roles within health-tech, digital innovation, healthcare services, or related sectors

* Demonstrated success in scaling ventures, leading cross-functional teams, and delivering results in complex operating environments

* Strong understanding of the healthcare landscape in Nigeria or similar African markets

* Proven fundraising experience with a track record of engaging investors or development partners

* A well-established network across health, technology, public health, or government sectors
