JOB TITLE: Procurement Officer

JOB LOCATIONS: Lagos / Port Harcourt – Rivers

JOB DETAILS:

  • Work with offshore facilities to ensure correct product descriptions are entered into Maximo.
  • Receive requisitions, review and work with end users to confirm specifications and scopes of work for recurring, complex or unique procurement services or supply.
  • Create bid packages, request for quotation (RFQ)/request for proposals (RFP)/and request for information (RFI) as appropriate.
  • Analyze bidder's proposals for responsiveness to RFQ, evaluating factors such as bidder's exceptions to the organization's standard commercial terms and conditions, price, delivery time and place, financial status, quality control and shipping.
  • Perform sourcing of materials and services.

Requirements

  • BA/BS degree or HND in an Engineering discipline, Business or Accounting.
  • Membership of appropriate Professional organization(s).
  • Five years of procurement experience, preferably in the oil and gas industry. 
  • Understanding of upstream oil and gas industry including offshore operations.
  • Ability to understand technical details of technical purchases in the oil and gas industry.
  • Proficient in the application of procurement terms relating to Purchase Orders.
  • Ability to use Business Systems (Sage Procurement and Maximo) at an advanced level is an added advantage.
