Job Summary:

The Ice Cream Maker is responsible for preparing, mixing, freezing, and packaging various flavors of ice cream, gelato, and other frozen desserts. This role ensures high-quality taste, texture, and presentation while maintaining strict hygiene and food safety standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and mix ice cream bases, flavors, and ingredients according to recipes or company standards.
  • Operate and maintain ice cream machines, freezers, and related equipment.
  • Experiment with new flavors and seasonal recipes to expand the menu.
  • Monitor ingredient inventory and report shortages to the supervisor.
  • Ensure all products meet quality, texture, and taste standards before serving or packaging.
  • Maintain cleanliness of work area, tools, and machines according to health and safety regulations.
  • Label, store, and rotate stock properly to avoid spoilage or waste.
  • Adhere to food safety, hygiene, and sanitation standards (HACCP compliance).
  • Assist with customer orders, sampling, and product displays when required.
  • Collaborate with kitchen and service teams to ensure smooth daily operations.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • SSCE / OND / Diploma in Food Science, Culinary Arts, or related field.
  • Prior experience in dessert, bakery, or ice cream production (preferred).
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Ability to follow recipes accurately and maintain consistency.
  • Creativity and interest in developing new flavors and products.
  • Physical stamina to stand for long hours and handle equipment.
  • Good teamwork and time management skills.
