Backend Engineer Intern

We are looking for a curious and analytical Backend Engineer Intern who is eager to learn and contribute to building reliable, efficient, and scalable backend systems. The role offers exposure to real-world software engineering practices and data-driven systems design.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in developing and maintaining backend applications and APIs.
  • Work with databases (SQL and NoSQL) to manage and query data efficiently.
  • Support integration between frontend and backend services.
  • Help troubleshoot, debug, and optimize server-side performance.
  • Collaborate with engineers on code reviews, documentation, and feature development.
  • Learn and follow best practices in software architecture, testing, and deployment.

Requirements

  • Basic understanding of Python, , Java, or Go.
  • Familiarity with RESTful APIs, database systems (MySQL, PostgreSQL, MongoDB).
  • Awareness of Git, version control, and API documentation tools.
  • Good analytical thinking and willingness to learn.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

Bonus Skills (Nice to Have)

  • Familiarity with Docker, CI/CD, or cloud services (AWS, Azure, GCP).
  • Experience with testing frameworks or ORMs.
