We are seeking a .NET Backend Developer with at least five years of experience in building, optimising, and maintaining scalable backend applications. The ideal candidate excels in C#, .NET Core, API development, relational databases, and cloud technologies, and will collaborate with cross-functional teams to design robust services, optimise performance, and shape architecture.

Note: This is a hybrid job and you must reside in Lagos. Also you must have a minimum of 5 years experience.

Key Responsibilities

· Design, develop, and maintain backend services and APIs using C# and modern .NET versions.

· Build and maintain backend systems optimised for scalability, security, and performance.

· Work collaboratively with developers, QA, product managers, and designers to align on requirements and outcomes.

· Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following best practices.

· Develop and integrate RESTful APIs and microservices.

· Optimise application performance, implement caching strategies, and troubleshoot production issues.

· Design and manage SQL database schemas, stored procedures, and queries.

· Write and maintain unit/integration tests and support CI/CD pipeline workflows.

· Participate in code reviews and contribute to continuous improvement.

· Work with cloud platforms such as Azure (App Services, Functions, SQL, Storage, DevOps, etc.).

· Ensure security, data protection, and adherence to development standards.

Required Qualifications

· 5+ years of experience in backend development using C# and .NET Core/.NET Framework.

· Strong experience building RESTful APIs and microservices.

· Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, design patterns, and clean architecture.

· Proficiency with SQL Server or other relational databases.

· Experience with Entity Framework Core, LINQ, and ORM best practices.

· Familiarity with Azure cloud services (or AWS/GCP equivalents).

· Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern development workflows.

· Strong debugging, analytical, and problem-solving skills.

· Good understanding of asynchronous programming, dependency injection, and API security (OAuth, JWT).
