Social Media Marketing Intern
As the Social Media Marketing Intern, you'll work closely with our Content Manager and Social Media Manager to support how we plan, create, and manage social media campaigns that grow Ziti's online presence and strengthen our community engagement. You'll help craft compelling stories across platforms, track performance insights, and contribute creative ideas to amplify Ziti's mission.

This is an exciting opportunity to gain hands-on experience in social media strategy, digital storytelling, and purpose-driven marketing while making a real impact with a growing social enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:
Social Media Strategy & Planning:

Support the development and scheduling of content across Ziti's social media platforms, particularly LinkedIn, Instagram, and Tiktok. Assist in planning campaigns that align with Ziti's mission and community goals.

Content Creation:

Create and repurpose engaging content including graphics, captions, short videos, and stories that highlight Ziti's programs, impact, and community. Help maintain a consistent tone and visual style across all platforms.

Community Engagement:

Monitor and respond to comments, messages, and mentions across social channels. Support audience engagement through polls, interactive posts, and conversation prompts.

Analytics & Insights:

Track social media metrics, compile performance reports, and provide insights to inform content and campaign improvements.

Brand & Campaign Support:

Collaborate with the Social Media Manager on social media campaigns, awareness weeks, and partnerships with purpose-driven brands or organizations.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Recent graduate or student in Marketing, Communications, Media Studies, or a related field.
  • Strong interest in digital marketing, social media strategy, and storytelling for impact.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms (especially LinkedIn, Instagram, and Tiktok) and content scheduling tools (e.g., Buffer, Hootsuite, or Meta Business Suite).
  • Basic design or video editing skills using Canva, CapCut, or Adobe tools (an added advantage).
  • Excellent writing and communication skills, with creativity and attention to detail.
  • Passionate about social impact, youth empowerment, and the future of work.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple tasks in a remote environment.
  • Eager to learn, experiment, and collaborate with a growing social enterprise team.
