Job Summary:

The Market Officer is responsible for managing day-to-day POS operations within the assigned market or state. The role involves attending to both aggregators and walk-in merchants for POS linking, swapping, and retrieval processes. The officer ensures smooth coordination between merchants, technical support, and the central operations team to achieve efficient service delivery and customer satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Handle POS terminal requests, activations, and linking for aggregators and merchants.
  • Manage POS swaps, retrievals, and replacements in line with company policies and SLAs.
  • Ensure accurate documentation and timely updates of all POS transactions in the operations system.
  • Provide frontline support to merchants and aggregators on POS-related issues.
  • Collaborate with the warehouse and logistics team to track and confirm POS dispatches and returns.
  • Maintain an organized record of market inventory and daily operational activities.
  • Monitor market-level performance metrics and report activities to the Operations Supervisor.
  • Support awareness and compliance with company policies and operational standards within the market.

Requirements:

  • Minimum of an OND/HND/Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Excel.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and record-keeping skills.
  • Previous experience in a fintech or POS operations environment is an added advantage.
