  • The Account Officer will be responsible for maintaining accurate financial records, preparing reports, monitoring transactions, and ensuring compliance with accounting standards and company policies.
  • You'll collaborate closely with operations, HR, and management to ensure seamless financial operations that drive profitability and efficiency.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and update daily financial transactions including sales, expenses, and petty cash.
  • Prepare and reconcile bank statements, vendor accounts, and internal ledgers.
  • Monitor daily sales reports and ensure deposits align with records.
  • Process supplier invoices, ensure proper approvals, and maintain payment schedules.
  • Support payroll preparation and statutory remittances (PAYE, Pension, NHF, etc.).
  • Prepare monthly financial reports, income statements, and cash flow summaries.
  • Assist with budgeting, forecasting, and cost control activities.
  • Ensure compliance with company policies and relevant accounting standards.
  • Liaise with external auditors, tax authorities, and financial institutions when required.
  • Support management with data-driven insights and recommendations for better financial decisions.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • B.Sc. / HND in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
  • 1–3 years of proven experience as an Account Officer or similar role (experience in the food, FMCG, or hospitality sector is an advantage).
  • Good knowledge of accounting principles, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and at least one accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Sage, or Zoho Books).
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Excellent organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.
  • Integrity, confidentiality, and a strong sense of accountability.
  • ICAN student membership or progress toward certification will be an added advantage.
