Position Summary

The Tax and Consulting Intern will assist in the preparation of individual and business tax returns, support advisory engagements, and collaborate with the consulting team on client deliverables. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and eager to learn about accounting, taxation, and business consulting in a cloud-enabled environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparing federal, state, and local income tax returns for individuals, corporations, partnerships, and LLCs.
  • Conduct research on tax laws, regulations, and compliance issues to support advisory projects.
  • Participate in financial analysis and reporting for client consulting engagements.
  • Support client onboarding, document collection, and data entry using cloud-based tools (e.g., Google Drive, ClickUp, QuickBooks Online).
  • Collaborate with the team through ClickUp for task tracking, project updates, and workflow management.
  • Prepare client-ready reports and summaries under supervision.
  • Ensure confidentiality and accuracy of client data in all digital tools.
  • Contribute to process improvement by suggesting ways to streamline workflows through automation or SaaS integration.

Qualifications & Skills

  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Basic understanding of accounting principles and tax concepts.
  • Familiarity with ClickUp, QuickBooks Online, Google Workspace, or similar SaaS tools is a plus.
  • Strong attention to detail and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Eagerness to learn and adapt in a dynamic, tech-driven environment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel or Google Sheets is a plus.
