The Account Clerk is responsible for supporting the finance and accounting team with day-to-day record keeping, financial documentation, and basic bookkeeping tasks. The role focuses on accuracy, organization, and timely recording of all financial transactions.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Recording daily financial transactions (sales, expenses, receipts)
  • Maintaining ledgers and updating accounting records
  • Preparing bank deposit slips and supporting cash reconciliation
  • Assisting with account balancing and verifying documentation
  • Filing invoices, receipts, vouchers, and payment records
  • Supporting payroll preparation (if assigned)
  • Assisting the Accountant or Finance Manager with reports
  • Checking supplier invoices and preparing payment schedules

Skills & Requirements:

  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles
  • Proficiency with Excel or accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Zoho Books)
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Good organization and documentation skills
  • Integrity and confidentiality
