We are seeking a seasoned, hands-on Senior Project Manager with a strong background in construction and infrastructure delivery. This role is critical to the successful execution of high-stakes client projects, ensuring they are very well documented, tracked, and delivered on time, within scope, and on budget. The ideal candidate must demonstrate strong stakeholder management, risk control, and site supervision capabilities.

Key responsibilities will include:

  • Lead end-to-end project delivery for construction and civil works, including scheduling, budgeting, and quality assurance.
  • Interpret architectural and structural drawings and translate them into actionable project plans.
  • Coordinate contractors, vendors, engineers, and field teams to meet project goals.
  • Monitor project timelines, flag risks, and ensure corrective actions are implemented proactively.
  • Manage procurement, vendor negotiations, and material logistics to ensure optimal resource allocation.
  • Oversee site inspections, compliance with health and safety standards, and ensure quality control benchmarks are met.
  • Prepare detailed reports and communicate progress to internal leadership and client stakeholders.
  • Manage change requests and ensure alignment with contractual obligations.
  • Ensure clear documentation and communication trails for audit and compliance purposes.
  • Provide leadership, mentorship, and performance monitoring to junior project staff.

Qualifications:

Minimum Qualification: University Degree Experience Level: Senior Level Minimum Length of Experience: 7 years

To excel in this role, you should have strong organizational and communication skills, with a keen attention to detail. We are looking for candidates who have:

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction Management, or a related field.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, or equivalent project management certification (required).
  • 7–10+ years of project management experience, at least 5 in construction-related projects.
  • Proven experience managing government, institutional, or commercial construction projects.
  • Exceptional problem-solving, communication, and team leadership skills.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Project, AutoCAD, and other project planning tools.
  • Willingness to travel frequently to project sites within Nigeria.
