Job Summary

The Brand & Communications / PR Manager will lead all brand storytelling, public relations, and strategic communications initiatives across Tuteria's ecosystem, including Tuteria Plus, TuteriaPrep, Medbuddy Academy, Medbuddy Care, and other future business lines.

The ideal candidate will shape how millions of people perceive, love, and engage with Tuteria brands, translating Tuteria's mission to transform education and healthcare in Africa into compelling narratives that inspire trust, credibility, and emotional connection with parents, students, investors, and the public.

This role requires a seasoned storyteller and strategist who has worked in or led campaigns at a creative, PR, or brand agency and can seamlessly translate ideas into impactful campaigns that drive both reputation and results. The ideal candidate will combine creativity, strategic thinking, and media acumen to amplify our mission, manage public perception, and tell stories that connect deeply with parents, students, investors, and the general public.

Key Responsibilities

Brand Strategy & Positioning

  • Develop and execute a cohesive brand and communications strategy across all Tuteria business lines.
  • Build and maintain a consistent brand voice, tone, and visual identity across all media channels.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure marketing, product, and PR communications reflect the brand's essence and vision.
  • Translate business goals into clear, emotionally resonant brand narratives that drive engagement and conversion.

Public Relations & Media Engagement

  • Lead all PR efforts to strengthen Tuteria's visibility, reputation, and thought leadership in education and workforce development.
  • Build and nurture strong relationships with journalists, editors, influencers, and strategic partners.
  • Craft press releases, feature articles, and thought leadership content to secure meaningful media coverage.
  • Manage crisis communication and safeguard brand reputation across all markets.

Strategic Storytelling & Corporate Communications

  • Tell compelling stories about Tuteria's impact, spotlighting tutors, learners, parents, caregivers, and success outcomes.
  • Manage executive communications, including interviews, speeches, op-eds, and investor communication materials.
  • Lead storytelling and PR efforts for major milestones, product launches, funding announcements, partnerships, and impact reports.

Campaigns, Events & Brand Activation

  • Lead the creative development and execution of brand campaigns, events, and activations that build awareness and emotional connection.
  • Collaborate with the Creative and Growth Team to produce engaging multi-channel campaigns (digital, print, PR, and experiential).
  • Ensure all campaigns are data-driven, measurable, and aligned with Tuteria's business and brand goals.

Digital & Social Media Presence

  • Oversee brand storytelling across all social and digital platforms to ensure message consistency and authenticity.
  • Work with the marketing and creative teams to craft narratives that spark virality and deepen engagement.
  • Monitor brand sentiment, online conversations, and public perception using analytics and social listening tools.

Internal Brand Alignment

  • Ensure Tuteria's values and brand voice are reflected internally, through internal communications, events, and leadership messaging.
  • Champion Tuteria's culture and mission through compelling internal storytelling that fosters pride and alignment.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Communications, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related field.
  • 4–6 years' experience in brand, PR, or communications management, with at least 2 years in a reputable creative, PR, or brand agency.
  • Proven experience developing and executing integrated communications campaigns across multiple channels.
  • Demonstrated success in managing PR strategy, crisis communications, and high-profile brand activations.
  • Strong media relations network and experience securing coverage in mainstream and niche outlets.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication skills with a flair for storytelling.
  • Deep understanding of media strategy, branding, and reputation management.
  • Strong leadership, planning, and stakeholder management skills.
  • Creative thinker who can move fluidly from high-level strategy to hands-on execution.
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams: marketing, product, growth, and other internal teams.
