Job Title: Forklift Operator
Location: Enugu, Aba, and/or Shagamu (Multiple Openings)

Reporting To: Warehouse Supervisor / Operations Manager

We are seeking skilled, reliable, and safety-conscious Forklift Operators to join our warehouse and logistics teams in Enugu, Aba, and Shagamu. The successful candidate will be responsible for the safe and efficient operation of forklifts and other material handling equipment to support daily warehouse and logistics operations. This role is ideal for individuals who are detail-oriented, physically fit, and committed to maintaining high standards of workplace safety and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities (Day-to-Day)
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment (e.g., pallet jacks, stackers) to load, unload, transport, and stack goods within the warehouse or yard.
- Conduct pre-shift and post-shift inspections of forklifts and report any mechanical issues or safety hazards immediately.
- Follow all company safety protocols, including the proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment), adherence to speed limits, and safe stacking practices.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory movements and assist warehouse staff with stock counts and inventory reconciliation.
- Ensure proper handling of goods to prevent damage, loss, or misplacement.
- Maintain work areas as clean, organised, and clutter-free as possible, in compliance with 5S and housekeeping standards.
- Assist in receiving and dispatching shipments, verifying load accuracy against delivery documents.
- Participate in safety drills, training sessions, and toolbox meetings as required.
- Support team members during peak operational periods and special projects.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Minimum of SSCE or equivalent.
- Valid driver's license.
- Basic literacy and numeracy skills (ability to read work orders, labels, and safety signs).
- Physically fit to lift up to 20kg and stand for extended periods.
- Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and discipline.
Preferred (But Not Required):
- Valid forklift operator certification or license_ (e.g., from NABTEB, FEM, or recognised training institute). _
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience operating forklifts in a warehouse, factory, port, or logistics setting.
- Familiarity with inventory management or warehouse operations.
Note: Candidates without formal certification but with real-world experience will be considered and may be supported through our internal or partner-led certification program.
