Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate, organized, and impact-driven
Programmes Coordinator
to support the planning, implementation, monitoring, and reporting of community-based health and psychosocial programmes. The role will focus primarily on cancer awareness, patient support initiatives, advocacy, and community engagement activities.
The ideal candidate will possess strong coordination and reporting skills, a solid understanding of community health programmes, and the ability to work compassionately with diverse populations.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and support the planning, implementation, and execution of programme activities and timelines.
- Organize community outreach initiatives, awareness campaigns, support groups, and training sessions.
- Liaise with facilitators, healthcare professionals, partners, donors, and volunteers to ensure effective programme delivery.
- Track programme data, outputs, outcomes, and impact metrics.
- Prepare programme reports, activity updates, and documentation for internal and external stakeholders.
- Support Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) activities, including data collection, analysis, and reporting.
- Assist with grant-related documentation, donor reporting, and compliance requirements.
- Ensure programme activities align with organizational objectives, timelines, and quality standards.
- Provide administrative and logistics support for programme meetings, outreach activities, and events.
Qualifications & Requirements
- BSc or HND in Health Sciences, Social Sciences, Public Health, Development Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 – 5 years experience in programme coordination, NGO operations, or community development.
- Prior experience in health-focused, advocacy-based, or psychosocial support programmes is an advantage.
- Strong organizational, coordination, documentation, and reporting skills.
- Ability to work empathetically and effectively with diverse communities and vulnerable populations.
- Experience in Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) is an added advantage.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and/or Google Workspace tools.
