We are seeking a qualified and proactive Safety Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for promoting a safe working environment by developing, implementing, and monitoring health, safety, and environmental (HSE) policies in compliance with local and international standards.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop, implement, and enforce HSE policies, procedures, and programs across all company operations.
  • Conduct regular safety inspections and risk assessments to identify potential hazards.
  • Organize safety training and awareness programs for staff.
  • Ensure compliance with safety legislation and internal policies.
  • Investigate accidents or incidents and prepare comprehensive reports with recommendations.
  • Maintain accurate HSE documentation and ensure all safety equipment is in good working condition.
  • Collaborate with management to develop emergency response plans and conduct periodic drills.

Qualifications and Requirements:

  • Minimum of HND/BSc in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certification in HSE / NEBOSH / ISO 45001 or any recognized safety certification is mandatory.
  • Minimum of 2 years' experience as a Safety Officer or HSE Officer.
  • Strong knowledge of workplace safety laws and best practices.
  • Excellent communication, reporting, and leadership skills.
  • Ability to identify and mitigate risks effectively.
