Job Summary

We are seeking a qualified and detail-oriented Locum Pharmacist to provide temporary professional support in our pharmacy operations. The ideal candidate will ensure the safe, effective, and efficient dispensing of medications while delivering exceptional pharmaceutical care to customers and patients.

Key Responsibilities

• Accurately dispense and check prescriptions in accordance with regulatory and professional standards.
• Provide expert advice on medications, including proper use, dosage, and potential side effects.
• Ensure compliance with all legal, ethical, and professional pharmacy standards.
• Supervise and guide pharmacy technicians and support staff to maintain smooth daily operations.
• Maintain accurate records for controlled drugs, prescriptions, and stock management.
• Provide patient counseling and answer queries regarding prescriptions and over-the-counter medications.
• Conduct regular stock audits and ensure proper storage and labeling of medicines.
• Promote health awareness and provide over-the-counter recommendations where appropriate.
• Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care and medication outcomes.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Pharmacy (B.Pharm or Pharm.D).
• Current and valid pharmacist license from Pharmacists Council of Nigeria (PCN).
• Proven experience as a community or hospital pharmacist.
• Strong knowledge of pharmacy laws, drug classifications, and therapeutic uses.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to work independently and manage a busy environment efficiently.
