VACANCY: HUMAN RESOURCES (HR) MANAGER

About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced HR Manager to lead and oversee all human resources functions in the organization. The ideal candidate will manage recruitment, performance, employee relations, HR operations, culture development, and statutory compliance to ensure an effective and productive workforce.
Key Responsibilities1. HR Operations & Administration
- Oversee day-to-day HR activities, employee records, documentation, and HRIS management.
- Ensure smooth onboarding, induction, and offboarding processes.
- Maintain and enforce HR policies, procedures, and SOPs across all departments.
2. Talent Acquisition
- Lead end-to-end recruitment cycles for all roles.
- Develop job descriptions, shortlist candidates, conduct interviews, and manage offers/engagement letters.
- Build and maintain a talent pipeline for critical roles.
3. Performance Management
- Implement and manage KPI-driven performance appraisal systems.
- Provide guidance to line managers on goal setting and performance reviews.
- Drive employee development, coaching, and capability-building initiatives.
4. Employee Relations & Welfare
- Act as the primary point of contact for staff issues, grievances, and disciplinary matters.
- Promote a positive work culture through effective communication and engagement activities.
- Manage staff welfare, HMO, leave administration, and disciplinary actions.
5. Training & Development
- Identify skill gaps and develop annual training plans.
- Organize internal and external training programs for staff and managers.
6. Compensation & Benefits
- Support payroll processing with accurate employee data and updates.
- Manage salary structure, benefits, allowances, and statutory remittances (PAYE, NHF, Pension, NSITF).
7. Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure compliance with labor laws, HR policies, and company regulations.
- Prepare periodic HR reports for management decision-making.
- Maintain up-to-date records for audits and regulatory requirements.
8. Culture, Strategy & Leadership
- Work directly with management to align HR strategy with business goals.
- Foster collaboration, high performance, and workplace discipline.
- Support organizational development and change management initiatives.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in HR, Business Administration, or related field (additional HR certifications are an advantage).
- 5–8 years of hands-on HR experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
- Strong knowledge of Nigerian labor laws and HR best practices.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and leadership skills.
- Proficiency in MS Office and HR systems/tools.
- Strong problem-solving, conflict resolution, and decision-making ability.
