Project Coordinator Greenhouse Project

Location: Kaduna, Nigeria

Role Overview

The Project Coordinator will oversee the planning, coordination, and execution of activities for a large-scale Greenhouse Farming Project with operations in both Nigeria and Romania. The role requires strong project management capabilities, cross-border vendor coordination, and on-ground execution in Kaduna. The candidate will manage supplier interactions (local and international), procurement and logistics, import documentation, site progress, and market research related to greenhouse produce. The position also supports senior management with structured updates, reports, and documentation.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily project operations, schedules, and milestone tracking.
  • Act as the main liaison for local and international greenhouse equipment suppliers, contractors, and government authorities.
  • Support coordination and communication for greenhouse farming operations in Nigeria and Romania, ensuring alignment across both regions.
  • Conduct market research related to greenhouse produce demand, pricing trends, and buyer identification.
  • Oversee procurement processes, supplier follow-ups, import/export documentation, and logistics management.
  • Monitor on-site project progress, identify delays, troubleshoot issues, and report deviations promptly.
  • Ensure adherence to project quality, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Prepare comprehensive progress updates, financial summaries, and periodic reports for management.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless project delivery.

Experience & Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Agriculture or a related field; a management qualification is an added advantage.
  • Minimum 10 years of experience in project coordination, agribusiness, greenhouse farming, or industrial/agricultural projects.
  • Prior experience working in Africa—preferably Nigeria—and familiarity with international agricultural project environments (Romania experience is a plus).
  • Strong communication, vendor management, documentation, and multitasking skills.
  • Ability to operate independently, manage field conditions, and ensure on-ground project execution.
  • Willingness to travel frequently and work on-site in Kaduna.
