The Role

You'll be the financial steward and strategic partner to the CEO, guiding how we fund, forecast, spend, and sustain VivaFemini through launch and beyond. You'll connect investors, clinical ops, product teams, and growth to ensure every naira drives impact.

What You'll Do

Capital Strategy & Fundraising

• Shape and execute the fundraising roadmap across pre‑seed, seed, and early growth rounds (equity, grants, and catalytic capital).
• Build financial models and investor decks that clearly tell VivaFemini's story of traction, unit economics, and scalability.
• Own dataroom readiness and investor relations (tracking pipelines, NDAs, due diligence docs, cash flow runway).
• Support deal structuring and term sheet negotiations alongside CEO and legal counsel.

Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A)

• Build integrated forecasts for revenue, costs, capital expenditure, and cash flow.
• Develop dashboards to track burn, liquidity, and runway scenarios; automate monthly reporting.
• Translate strategy into numbers that drive trade‑off decisions and scenario planning (base, stretch, conservative).

Accounting, Controls, & Governance

• Set up compliant accounting, bookkeeping, and internal controls suited for our pre‑launch and post-launch stage.
• Coordinate audits, tax filings, and regulatory registrations in collaboration with external accountants/auditors.
• Draft and enforce internal finance policies (expense controls, vendor payments, procurement rules).

Operational Finance

• Oversee invoicing, vendor management, payroll (equity-based until fundraise maturity), and expense tracking.
• Define cost centers and partner budgets with Operations, Product, and Marketing leads.
• Support clinic partnerships and government collaborations with financial modeling and projections.

Investor & Stakeholder Reporting

• Develop investor update templates (quarterly decks, KPIs, milestones, financial highlights).
• Prepare board and leadership finance packs: performance, runway, forecasts, and key actions.
• Conduct variance analysis and recommend corrective actions.

Strategic Finance & Partnerships

• Evaluate partnership economics (diagnostics, pharmacy, telehealth integrations).
• Structure financial SLAs and revenue‑share terms that align incentives and scaling efficiency.
• Advise on pricing models, monetization strategies, and pathways to sustainable gross margin.

Who You Are

• 7-10+ years in finance, investment, or FP&A across startups, VC‑backed ventures, or financial institutions.
• Strong modeling, fundraising, and investor‑facing experience (pre‑seed to Series A stages preferred).
• Deep familiarity with accounting standards, compliance, and governance in Nigeria/Africa (IFRS, NDPR, CAC, FIRS).
• Hands‑on with startup tools: Excel/Sheets, QuickBooks/Xero, Notion, Carta/Capbase, and investor data rooms.
• Strategic and pragmatic; you can zoom between spreadsheets and strategy decks smoothly.
• Passionate about women's health and building equitable access at scale.
