This individual will be responsible for assisting in various administrative and operational tasks to ensure the smooth functioning of HR processes and the overall well-being of the workforce.Duties And ResponsibilitiesOnboarding process: the employee will oversee the onboarding process for all new employees of BURN, including inducting them through all documentation (contracts, policies, rules, and procedures). For ex-pats, ensuring that there is a smooth transition to Kenya, including the acquisition of an entry visa, travel insurance, flight, and airport transfer to Burn House.Coming up with employee handbooks for the various countries that BURN has set up an officeRecruiting both casual and full-time employees, up to and including managerial staffReviewing company policies and training the employees on the changesCollecting all documentation required for contract preparation from all new employeesMonitoring contract expiry date by managing the electronic employee data sheet and ensuring that employees do not work without valid contractsManaging the staff medical allowance scheme. Ensuring that the claims presented are authentic and reimbursement is made.Dealing with any HR-related issues brought up by employees and escalating them to management where necessaryParticipating in various appraisals meetings for employees and following up on manager appraisal feedbackManaging the filing for middle-level and top management employeesPerforming correct exit process for all employees and contractors, ensuring that all documentation is signed off before exit, medical for factory employees exiting the company is done, and all the items that belong to the company are returned in good conditionCoordinating the medical check-up for all employeesKeeping the training calendar updated and ensuring that training needs are well capturedOrganizing for training and following up with NITA reimbursements.Assisting the Health officer with WIBA issues.Keeping on top of changes in Kenyan Labor LawsArranging any travel that BURN employees need to do, this could include hotel and transport bookingsPerforming any other duties as may be assigned by your manager from time to timeSkills and Experience:A bachelor's degree in industrial relations or any other relevant course with at least 5 years of HR experience in the manufacturing sectorSound knowledge and understanding of the Nigerian Labour legislationProficient in Microsoft Office especially Excel and PowerPointStrong people management and communication skillsExcellent organizational skillsAbility to commute or relocate to KanoMembership in any recognized HR professional body is an added advantageAdd recruiting for casuals and full-time employees up to and including managerial staffFluency in English required, together with proficiency in HausaQualified Female candidates are encouraged to applyBURN does not charge a fee at any stage of the recruitment process (application, interview, meeting, processing, training, or any other fees).Powered by JazzHRebS4Wop8E1
