Smokey House is a restaurant offering a relaxed, vibrant dining experience that blends great food, atmosphere, and community.

We are currently undergoing an exciting revamp, redefining our brand, customer experience, and digital presence.

As part of this phase, we are looking for a creative professional who can help shape and communicate this new direction online, someone who thrives in building, experimenting, and bringing fresh ideas to life through content.

Role Overview

We are seeking a creative, innovative Content Creator & Social Media Strategist to manage and grow Smokey House's digital presence. This role goes beyond posting content — you will shape our online identity, drive engagement, and attract customers through compelling, high-quality content.

You will be responsible for ideation, creation, and execution of content across all social media platforms, you have an option to be the face of the brand, or coordinate others to appear in content if you wish not be on camera.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage and grow all Smokey House social media platforms (Instagram, TikTok, X, Facebook, etc.)
  • Develop and execute a content strategy aligned with the brand's identity and business goals
  • Create engaging photo and video content showcasing food, ambience, events, behind-the-scenes moments, and customer experiences
  • Generate creative content ideas, trends, and campaigns that drive engagement and foot traffic
  • Appear in content when required, or direct staff/customers to feature in content
  • Plan and maintain a content calendar
  • Write engaging captions and handle basic community management (comments, DMs)
  • Track content performance and adjust strategy based on engagement and growth
  • Collaborate with management on promotions, events, and brand campaigns

Requirements

  • Proven experience creating content for businesses or brands (portfolio or social media pages required)
  • Strong understanding of social media trends, especially Instagram and TikTok
  • Creative, confident, and comfortable being on camera
  • Ability to shoot and edit high-quality content using a smartphone (professional equipment is a plus)
  • Innovative mindset with the ability to turn everyday moments into engaging content
  • Good communication skills and brand awareness
  • Must be reliable, proactive, and able to work independently
