Job descriptions & requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Plan, supervise, and manage construction projects from inception to completion
  • Prepare, review, and approve structural designs, drawings, and technical specifications
  • Ensure projects are executed in line with approved designs, budgets, timelines, and quality standards
  • Coordinate daily site activities and provide technical leadership to site teams
  • Monitor construction progress and resolve technical and operational issues on site
  • Enforce health, safety, and environmental compliance across all project sites
  • Manage and evaluate the performance of contractors, consultants, and site personnel
  • Liaise with architects, engineers, regulatory authorities, and other stakeholders
  • Prepare project reports and provide regular updates to management
  • Ensure compliance with local building codes, regulations, and best construction practices

Requirements:

  • Minimum of 4-10 years post-qualification experience in civil engineering and construction
  • Proven experience delivering real estate and building construction projects
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage and coordinate site teams
  • Excellent project management, supervision, and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design and drafting software
  • Sound knowledge of structural design principles and construction methods
  • Ability to manage contractors, consultants, and subcontractors effectively
  • Strong understanding of construction standards, quality control, and health & safety regulations
  • BSc or HND in Civil Engineering
  • MSc in Civil/Structural Engineering is an added advantage
  • Registered with COREN
