Lubricant Operations Manager
Responsibilities / Requirements
• Plan, supervise, and manage blending activities to ensure production aligns with quality specifications, production targets, and safety standards.
• Ensure availability of base oils, additives, and packaging materials while maintaining optimal inventory levels to prevent stock-outs or overstocking.
• Prepare blending and packaging schedules based on sales forecasts, ensuring efficient utilization of plant capacity and manpower.
• Collaborate with the Quality Control team to ensure all products meet OEM, customer, and regulatory specifications.
• Identify and implement process improvements to minimize blending losses, reduce energy consumption, and improve yield and cost per liter.
• Oversee dispatch planning, transport scheduling, and product delivery to customers or depots for timely and cost-efficient distribution.
• Track and manage key cost drivers in blending, logistics, and packaging, recommending cost-saving measures to improve profitability.
• Enforce compliance with HSE standards and ensure safe operations in blending plants, warehouses, and transport activities.
• Align production and supply with market demand while providing accurate cost data to support pricing and financial planning.
• Supervise, train, and motivate blending, warehouse, and logistics staff to maintain high performance and accountability.
• Monitor key performance metrics such as blending yield, downtime, product losses, and delivery timelines to drive continuous improvement.
• Oversee SLAs and product quality from external operators to ensure alignment with company standards.
Experience
• Minimum of 8 years' experience in the oil & gas lubricant business, with strong exposure to blending operations, production management, and logistics.
Qualifications
• B.Sc. in Petroleum Engineering, Chemical Engineering, or related field.
• MBA will be an added advantage.
• Professional certifications or technical training in production management, HSE, or quality control will be an asset.
