Role Description

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Hotel Accountant to join our team on a full-time basis. In this on-site role located in Port Harcourt, you will oversee financial operations, including daily financial reporting, budget management, payroll processing, and ensuring compliance with all accounting regulations. Additional responsibilities include preparing profit and loss statements, managing accounts payable and receivable, reconciling bank statements, and supporting the management team with financial insights. The ideal candidate will have a passion for accuracy and a strong understanding of hotel operations.

Qualifications

• Proficiency in accounting principles, financial reporting, and budget management
• Experience with accounts payable, accounts receivable, bank reconciliations, and payroll processing
• Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and proficiency in relevant accounting software
• Ability to analyze financial data and provide actionable insights to support business decisions
• Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks
• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (additional certifications such as CPA or ACCA are a plus)
• Prior experience in hotel accounting or the hospitality industry is strongly preferred
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with team members and stakeholders
