Lawyer (NYSC)

We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking NYSC member with a legal background to join our law firm as a Litigation Lawyer. The ideal candidate will assist in court proceedings, legal research, drafting of legal documents, and general litigation support under senior counsel supervision.

Min Qualification: Degree Experience Level: Internship & Graduate Experience Length: No Experience/Less than 1 year

Responsibilities:

• Assist in handling litigation matters and court appearances
• Draft legal documents, including motions, affidavits, pleadings, and written addresses
• Conduct legal research and case law analysis
• Attend court sessions and assist senior lawyers during hearings
• Prepare case files and maintain proper documentation
• Liaise with court registries and relevant legal institutions
• Support client interviews and case strategy discussions
• Perform other legal duties as assigned

Requirements:

• Must be a serving NYSC member posted or seeking redeployment
• Must have LL.B and B.L qualification
• Strong interest in litigation practice
• Good knowledge of Nigerian legal procedures
• Excellent research and drafting skills
• Good verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines
• Professional appearance and strong work ethics

Added Advantage:

• Prior litigation or court experience
• Knowledge of court filing processes
• Strong organisational skills
