Job Summary

The Maintenance Officer is responsible for the upkeep, repair, and general maintenance of the organizsation's buildings, equipment, and facilities. This role ensures that all systems operate efficiently and safely, in compliance with relevant regulations and standards.

  • Minimum Qualification : HND
  • Experience Level : Entry level
  • Experience Length : 2 years
Job Description/Requirements

Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine inspections of premises and equipment.
  • Carry out scheduled maintenance and minor repairs (e.g., plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, etc).
  • Respond promptly to repair requests and emergency breakdowns.
  • Coordinate and supervise contractors and service providers.
  • Maintain records of maintenance activities, including logs and reports.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and standards.
  • Monitor inventory of supplies and equipment; place orders when necessary.
  • Assist in planning and implementing preventive maintenance programs.
  • Support other departments with the setup or relocation of furniture and equipment.
  • Stay informed on new tools, techniques, and compliance requirements related to building maintenance.

Requirements:

  • 2 years of experience
