Job Title: Accountant & Inventory Manager Reports To: Studio Manager / Owner Location: Krème Skin Studio – Victoria island, Lagos Employment Type: Full-time Position Summary: The Accountant & Inventory Manager plays a key role in maintaining Krème Skin Studio's financial health and ensuring smooth operations through accurate bookkeeping, cost control, and efficient inventory tracking. This role requires someone detail-oriented, proactive, and familiar with the unique needs of a skincare or spa business. Key Responsibilities: Accounting & Financial Management Record daily financial transactions, reconcile accounts, and ensure accuracy in QuickBooks or other accounting software. Prepare monthly financial statements (P&L, balance sheet, and cash flow reports). Manage accounts payable and receivable, ensuring timely vendor payments and client invoicing. Track studio expenses and identify areas for cost savings. Assist with payroll preparation, staff commissions, and incentive tracking. Support budgeting and forecasting to guide business decisions. Ensure compliance with tax regulations and prepare documents for tax filing and audits. Inventory Management Monitor and record product usage, stock levels, and reorder points for both retail and professional backbar items. Conduct regular stock counts (weekly/monthly) to reconcile physical and system inventory. Place purchase orders and manage supplier relationships to ensure timely restocking. Track product expiry dates and batch numbers to maintain quality control. Analyze sales and usage trends to optimize product ordering and reduce waste. Coordinate with the front desk and estheticians to maintain accurate product movement logs. Reporting & Operations Generate regular inventory valuation and cost reports for management review. Work closely with the Studio Manager to align financial planning with service performance. Support special projects such as product launches, promotions, and budgeting for equipment or supplies. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field. 1+ years of experience in accounting or bookkeeping (spa, salon, retail, or skincare industry preferred). Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero) and Microsoft Excel/Google Sheets. Knowledge of inventory control systems or POS platforms (e.g., Vagaro, Mindbody, or Fresha). Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills. Attention to detail and ability to maintain confidentiality. Preferred Skills: Experience with cost of goods sold (COGS) tracking for skincare products. Understanding of commission structures and service-based accounting. Excellent communication and vendor management skills. Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. Compensation & Benefits: Competitive salary (based on experience).
